Scientific approach

Field Day 2018, an annual agricultural forum, was held in Tomsk oblast. Over 300 representatives of agricultural enterprises from Moscow, Kaluga, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk oblasts and Belarus took part in the event.

Perhaps, the motto ‘Science is the basis of the harvest!’ was chosen as the theme of the forum not by chance. There is a number of research centres in Siberia. The region is considered the scientific capital of Russia. However, agriculture in the harsh Siberian climate conditions requires both a scientific approach and powerful equipment!

While scientists were discussing the latest achievements in plant breeding and adaptation to the local weather conditions, managers of agricultural enterprises got acquainted with the modern machinery.

AgroCentreZakharovo presented the Massey Ferguson 6713 tractor. Back in 2016, this tractor gained a reputation of a reliable and efficient machine in Russia.

‘This is an economically efficient tractor with a four-cylinder 4.4 litre AGCO Power engine delivering up to 132 hp’, says Maksim Gruzin, Sales Representative of Novosibirsk branch of AgroCentreZakharovo.

The Massey Ferguson 6713 tractor features an all-new 12 forward x 12 reverse synchromesh transmission. The dry single disc clutch is reliable and easy to operate. The versatility of the machine allows performing a wide range of tasks.

‘Due to heavy-duty rear linkage and hydraulics the machine can tackle any job’, says Maksim Gruzin. ‘Every tractor is equipped with the industry-leading Electronic Linkage Control (ELC), the capacity of which enables it to pull implements up to 5,2 tonnes.’
