Massey Ferguson conquests Siberian fields

Altai branch of AgroСentre held demo shows of the Massey Ferguson 7624 tractor at the farming enterprises of the region.

AgroSibir agricultural enterprise situated in Kirovsky village (Smolensk oblast) is engaged in crop and livestock production. The total herd size is 4,500 head including 1,500 dairy cows. The total farmland area of the enterprise is 26,000 ha. The crop growing industry of the enterprise is focused on the production of soy — 8,000 ha of farmland is devoted for growing this crop. Therefore, the management of the enterprise is considering the possibility of purchasing a wheeled tractor for coupling it with a trailed sprayer and some tillage tools.

At the showcase the Massey Ferguson 7624 tractor proved to be a professional, leaving the competitors behind.

‘I am satisfied with the performance of the Massey Ferguson 7624’, says Vladimir Shitts, Director of AgroSibir. ‘I must say the quality is outstanding, the machine is comfortable and operates efficiently. We coupled the tractor with two trailers, 2 PTS-9 and 2 PTS-12, for silage transporting. The tractor coped with this task easily.’

Combination of intellectual technologies with the simple and robust design of the Massey Ferguson 7624 tractor enables to increase productivity, save fuel and reduce emissions.

‘The results achieved speak for themselves’, says Sergey Kuznetsov, Manager of Altai branch of AgroCentre. ‘The average number of engine hours was 10, the average performance — 22 tonnes per pass, the average fuel consumption — 5.4 l/h, the average speed — 14 km/h. The tractor impressed the staff of the farming enterprise with fuel efficiency, convenience and comfort of the operator’s cab, the draft and power of the unit.’

The showcase was also held at Sovetskaya Krupa farming enterprise, which has been operating for 15 years in Tochilnoye village, Smolensk oblast. The enterprise is engaged in growing cereals, legumes and oil crops. The total cultivated area is 9,000 ha.

‘The managers of Sovetskaya Krupa farming enterprise consider purchasing a powerful wheeled tractor to couple it with a seeder and a sprayer’, continues Sergey Kuznetsov. ‘They wanted to make sure that the Massey Ferguson 7624 tractor would work effectively in tandem with these units.’

The management of the farming enterprise appreciated the advantages of the machine.

‘The Massey Ferguson 7624 tractor meets all the specifications’, says Valeriy Semeykin, Director of Sovetskaya Krupa farming enterprise.

‘The average speed of the Massey Ferguson 7624 coupled with the Primera DMC 6000 seed drill was from 14 to 16 km/h, when going uphill, the speed decreased to 12 km/h.’ Dynamic Tractor Management (DTM) maintains the set travel speed by automatically adjusting the power (engine speed) according to load, so that the machinery unit could work without overloading. Besides, the machine maintains a steady speed when making passes in the fields with crop residues.
