Time to celebrate Kverneland Group’s 140 year anniversary

2019 marks the year of Kverneland past and the future: the company, which is one of the world’s oldest producers of agricultural machinery, is proud to announce 140 years of existence, collaborations and loyalty from the customers, dealers, importers, employees and suppliers. It is because of these relationships that Kverneland has grown into becoming one of the key players in the Agricultural Implement Industry.

Kverneland Group history dates back to 1879 when Ole Gabriel Kverneland, the founder, built a forge to manufacture scythes, in the village of Kverneland near Stavanger in Norway. In the 1890s, Kverneland started the production of small ploughs and horse-drawn harrows. In 1928, the company introduced tillage implements for the first tractors.

Over the next few decades, the local family business has grown into Kverneland Group extending its reach far beyond the boundaries of its native Scandinavia through a series of successful acquisitions of well-known manufacturers of agricultural implements.

Kverneland machinery is sold worldwide under Kverneland and Vicon brands. Kverneland Group is a leading provider of intelligent and efficient precision farming solutions contributing to sustainable agriculture.

The 140-year anniversary will be celebrated globally in several arenas throughout 2019, in cooperation with Kverneland dealers and distribution partners worldwide. The anniversary will also be a key element of Kverneland Group’s presence at international shows such as SIMA, Paris, 24-28 February 2019 and Agritechnica, Hannover 10-16 November 2019.

Оn the occasion of its 140 anniversary, Kverneland Group has a number of pleasant surprises for the Russian farmers. For instance, the Field Day trade show, which is scheduled for early summer 2019, is going to be the largest in the history of Kverneland in Russia.
