Voronezh Field Day: 13 years of innovations

Ostrogozhsksadpitomnik enterprise has hosted the largest agricultural machinery trade show in the Black Soil Region. Dealers and manufacturers demonstrated more than 2,000 units of state-of-the-art machinery which fascinated local farmers.

Voronezh Field Day has been held since 2006 gathering about two hundred agricultural companies from all over the Black Soil Region. AgroCentre is a traditional participant and partner of the event which annually presents unique novelties of machinery and proven bestsellers to those who join the occasion.

This year, the Horsch Leeb 4AX trailed sprayer has become the high spot of AgroCentre’s exposition. The machine is equipped with the Boom Control stabilisation system which ensures uniform distribution of fertilisers and fixes the boom in the horizontal position relative to the terrain. Track widths can be easily adjusted by the machine operator, and most importantly, the Horsch Leeb 4AX is fully ISOBUS compatible.

‘The Horsch Leeb 4AX is a novelty which is in demand on the Russian market today’, says Sergey Lomantsov, Executive Director of AgroCentreLiski. ‘This is the first time we have exhibited this trailed sprayer at such an event, and I can say that the machine has attracted the visitors’ interest. The Horsch Leeb 4AX has recently appeared in the arsenal of AgroCentre, so we have planned to do a number of demonstrations of this model in different regions of our country in the near future.’

Agricultural producers gave special attention to the 132 hp Massey Ferguson 6713 tractor. This machine is designed for both small farms and large holdings requiring robust and reliable tractors which are easy to operate and can cope with various tasks.

‘In 2015, we purchased a Massey Ferguson 7624 tractor from AgroCentre’, says Nikolay Chernikov, Head of Chernikov farm, Belgorod oblast. ‘In the first year of operation, the tractor performed disking, cultivation and crop sowing on an area of 1,000 hectares. The results were impressive as we had expected. The machine is built to the manufacturer’s high standards, so we can achieve great efficiency. Today we have no complaints about the tractor – we just carry out scheduled maintenance and enjoy the work. In the future, we will most probably enlarge our fleet buying one more Massey Ferguson 7624 or 6713 tractor, and we are also interested in the Horsch Leeb 4 AX trailed sprayer which could perfectly fit in with our tasks.’

During the two days of the trade show, AgroCentre’s booth was one of the most popular among the farmers. And this is not surprising, as the dealer's exposition presented machines of such global brands as Massey Ferguson, Horsch, Güstrower, Zaffrani and FAE.

‘AgroCentre is always on the go. It annually demonstrates novelties of agricultural machinery at Voronezh Field Day’, sums up Sergey Lomantsov. ‘This event allows farm managers, technicians and machine operators to break their daily routine for a while and discover innovations in the world of farm machinery building. They can ask any questions about the operation and get to know the opportunities of soft financing under leasing schemes. There is a keen interest in our machines and, most importantly, we see high demand for them. This shows that we are moving in the right direction.’
