Top performers

The harvesting campaign at Iskra enterprise in Oryol oblast has come to an end. Meanwhile the farmers are summing up the results, we would like to commend the heroes of the hour – Massey Ferguson combines.

Massey Ferguson Activa 7347S and Massey Ferguson Beta 7370 combines have been operating at Iskra for a few years proving to be reliable and high-performance machines. Although different, the models have some common characteristics. It is first and foremost the heart of the machines – the 6-cylinder AGCO Power engine.

‘Effective threshing control is one of the key advantages of Massey Ferguson combines’, says Yevgeniy Ankudinov, Manager of AgroCentreLiski Oryol branch. ‘Two electric motors ensure the adjustment of front and rear concave clearance, which makes it possible to optimise threshing for any crop.’

What guarantees the excellent threshing quality is the Power Feed Roller. Its front beater located in the feeder house provides an even flow from the header into the main crop elevator, which is particularly important when operating on difficult terrain. The Massey Ferguson combines have another unique feature – the ability to rotate the concave up over the top of the Multi Crop Separator when it is not required to save fuel and facilitate the cleaning system work.

‘The Massey Ferguson Activa 7347S and Beta 7370, with the capacity of 8,600 and 9,000 litres respectively, both have the grain tank unloading rate of 105 litres/sec’, continues Yevgeniy Ankudinov. ‘Besides, their turret unloading auger can cope with a trailer of any height.’

At Iskra farming enterprise, the combines did a great job, gathered a good harvest of wheat, peas, soybeans and other crops.

‘The Massey Ferguson combines are the top performers in our fleet’, says Viktor Cherepkov, Iskra Manager. ‘We also have machines of domestic manufacture, but they cannot compete with the Activa and Beta. Another harvesting campaign has been a success, and it is largely thanks to the heavy-duty Massey Ferguson combines and, of course, AgroCentre, which always helps us to make the right choice.’
