Druzhba, a stock breeding farm and a breeding reproducer of Ayrshire cattle, and Krasnodar branch of AgroCentreLiski are actively collaborating. Druzhba’s milking herd amounts to 1,000 cows. The arable land covering more than 4,000 hectares is used for growing wheat, sunflower and corn. To carry out sowing works, the Massey Ferguson 7724 S tractor has been supplied to the farm this spring.

‘First, we provided the Massey Ferguson 7724 S for a trial run so the specialists could evaluate the tractor on the go’, explains Sergey Lushnikov, Head of Krasnodar branch of AgroCentreLiski. ‘The 240 hp Massey Ferguson 7724 S paired up with a 6-furrow reversible plough worked the field. The tilling depth was 35 cm. During the operation, the tractor speed reached 10 km/h and the wheel slip was 2% — all of this indicates the correct weight distribution. The engine load was 85%, which is an excellent result.’

The Massey Ferguson 7724 S in a special configuration comes with a front PTO and a front-mounted implement with the lifting capacity of 4 tonnes. The creeper with the minimum operating speed of 0.3 km/h makes it possible to work with forestry mulchers. The tractor is fitted with a pneumatic brake, which allows the owner to use it during hauling operations. The front independent suspension available on the model ensures comfortable operation in the fields.

‘On our breeding farm, a tractor is an indispensable helper’, says Roman Skornyakov, Chief Engineer of Druzhba. ‘The Massey Ferguson 7724 S will handle a number of tasks: disk harrowing, sowing and inter-row cultivation. When harvesting crops, plans are afoot to couple the tractor with a 9-metre mounted mower and a baler.’

In Voronezh oblast, specialists of Maslovskoye farming enterprise have decided on another all-rounder belonging to the famous Massey Ferguson family. The special design of the Massey Ferguson 8737S with the 370 hp engine took the farm by storm.

‘Our tractor is already 10 years old so we needed to find a replacement’, says Roman Maslov, Engineer of Maslovskoye farm. ‘We couldn’t but pay attention to the high level of service provided by AgroCentreLiski and opted for further collaboration. The Massey Ferguson 8737S cab is available with numerous comfort features, all the main controls are at the fingertips of the operator for maximum convenience.’

The Massey Ferguson 8737S tractor hit the market in 2020 and has already sparked a flurry of interest among many farmers.

‘The uniqueness of this configuration is the suspended front axle and the suspended cab of the tractor’, explains Maksim Sidelnikov, Head of Voronezh branch of AgroCentreLiski. ‘Thanks to the cab suspension system, the tractor runs smoothly, the level of traction goes up and the towing force increases.’

The machine is equipped with the modern AdBlue exhaust gas treatment system that makes it possible to get the job done both in a productive and eco-friendly way. Another crucial option is the upgraded LED headlights which enable the operators to steadily work during the hours of darkness.

‘In the peak season, we must do our job twenty-four seven’, says Roman Maslov, Engineer of Maslovskoye farm. ‘In the dim light, the eyes get tired much and it affects the productivity of the machine operator. The new headlights offer plenty of brightness, which, in turn, makes for efficient work of the specialists.’

Today, the employees of Maslovskoye believe that well-coordinated and team-minded work is of paramount importance to everyone. On the farm, 700 hectares of land is being cultivated, potatoes and grain crops are being planted. Every day, taking all the requisite precautions, the farming professionals turn up to work in the fields.
