Making headway with AgroCentre

Established over 20 years ago, DON peasant farming enterprise (Tamala district, Penza oblast) is one of the most dynamically developing farming enterprises in the region. The core area of activity is crop production, including growing of cereals, pulses and sugar beet on the area of 1,500 hectares. At the heart of the company’s approach to farming lies the application of proven solutions while keeping updated on the contemporary technological advancements.

In 2021, the company decided to upgrade their machinery fleet. With AgroCentre’s assistance, the farming eneterprise took a technological leap forward and expanded its fleet with several machines manufactured by the leading global equipment producers.

‘Previously, the company’s machinery fleet was comprised mainly of the units of the Russian make’, comments Ali Umarov, Head of Penza branch, AgroCentreZakharovo. ‘However, the year gone by has made it clear that growing business requires new tools for increasing profitability and yields and optimising the costs. Thus, a Fendt 936 (360 hp) and a Massey Ferguson 6713 (130 hp) tractors, a JCB 536-60 telehandler, a reversible 8-furrow Kverneland RN-100 plough and a Horsch Pronto 8 DC seed drill have been added to DON’s fleet. The latter was purchased specifically for the spring sowing of grain crops.

In recent years, these units have firmly established themselves in the Russian market due to their high dependability and versatility, showing a significant level of comfort and safety in operation. Besides, the machines are easily integrated with smart and precision farming solutions as well as remote control of working processes, which takes production to a whole new efficiency level.

‘Another argument in favour of AgroCentre is the excellent service the company delivers to its clients’, comments Oleg Davydov, Head of DON peasant farming enterprise. ‘The company assists us in finding a unit offering optimum return on investment and provides us with high quality servicing and maintenance. Well-trained technicians always give us a hand with the machinery settings and downtime reduction and supply us with spare parts and consumables in a timely manner.’

According to the regional government, state financial support for farms in Penza oblast will double in 2022, which will be a significant driver for economic development of local enterprises. Considering the prospects, timely reinforcement of DON’s machinery fleet is another step in its forward-looking long-term strategy aimed at ensuring the company’s future success.
