Voronezhagro 2010: the high-tech sector will be run by the young

In mid-November AgroCentreLiski took part in the 15th agro-industrial trade show Voronezhagro 2010. Opening the jubilee event, Aleksey Gordeyev, Governor of the Voronezh region, noted the important role young people play in Russia’s agricultural industry.

“I am calling upon the young people present here today to bear in mind that agriculture is becoming a high-technology industry which is crucial for Russia's economic future. This is a sign of patriotism,” emphasised Aleksey Gordeyev.

AgroCentreLiski showed off agricultural machinery providing solutions to this task as well – Rapid combi drills manufactured by the Swedish company Vaderstad, which is a pioneer in moisture-retaining technologies. What makes the combi drill unique is that besides its performance capabilities, it can reach an unprecedented seeding speed of 10-12 km/h, making it super-efficient. Company managers say that all visitors and customers were pleasantly surprised by the news that Vaderstad has opened a production facility on the premises of the AgroCentreLiski servicing centre. Now high-class Swedish machinery has not only become geographically closer but it is also subsidised by the Russian government on the same conditions as other products manufactured in Russia. AgroCentreLiski was awarded a gold medal at the trade show for setting up the supply of these seed drills and active assistance in implementation of agricultural projects.
