Digitizing Tempo with Vaderstad E-services

Väderstad E-services is a control system for Tempo and an application to order parts on an iPad available in the iTunes App Store.

Control Tempo when planting

Users have a unique opportunity to wirelessly control Tempo planters through an easy to use and beautifully designed iPad application. The iPad connects to the Tempo planter’s secure wireless network. An active internet connection is not required for use in the field.
The control system includes:

z

Management of the planting process, including seed, fertilizer and microgranules Configuration of the Tempo machineIndividual row shut-off (seed, fertilizer and microgranules)TramliningLogging of data and events

Works with ISOBUS and Non-ISOBUS tractors

With an ISOBUS platform in the tractor, it is possible to use the ISOBUS terminal to control the machine. The Gateway, or “the black box”, placed on the Tempo machine displays the necessary data to Väderstad-approved virtual terminals. In a non-ISOBUS environment the operator can control the machine with an iPad connected wirelessly to the Gateway. The Gateway also logs GPS, seed quantity, alarms and other event data.

The iPad can also be placed in a custom-designed Väderstad holder with several function keys for central manoeuvres.

Today, Väderstad E-services is available for 6- to 8-row Tempo machines. The control system will be available for additional product families late 2014. For previous machines, there will be options for retrofitting.

Order parts via Väderstad E-Parts

The control system is complemented with a virtual Väderstad E-Parts shop. The application provides easy identification of parts in 3D view possible to order straight from the tractor cab. The farmer can easily find the part needed and place an order with a preferred dealer.

The application always has the correct parts and instruction manuals for the Väderstad machine. The first country where the application is implemented is Germany and it is available for Tempo F8. Other countries and product families will follow.
