One in a million

Manufacturers of farming machinery and growers from all over the region have gathered at the proving ground of Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agricultural Biotechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Кrasnoobsk (Novosibirsk oblast). The occasion for the gathering was the Siberian Forage Field Day.

AgroCentre showcased the new flagship tractor MF 6713 with a 132 hp engine to Siberians. Although it hasn’t been long since the model was released to the market, it has already found its fans. Since the tractor is assembled in Russia, it is eligible for subsidies.

‘The design is brand new, yet fairly simple’, says Anton Bliznyuk, Head of Novosibirsk branch of AgroCentre. ‘The components for the tractor are manufactures at most advanced factories all over the world. An efficient powertrain and a high level of comfort make MF 6713 a true “workhorse” whatever a farming operation. By buying Massey Ferguson 6713 from us, farmers get high quality and prompt service, which is an indisputable advantage for agricultural business, particularly in high season.’

Massey Ferguson 6713 comes complete with the well proven AGCO Power 4.4-litre 4 cylinder engine. The machine is equipped with a manually-driven Bosch fuel apparatus. The unique cooling system prevents the tractor from overheating. The transmission is fully synchronized, which provides a total of twelve forward and twelve reverse speeds courtesy of two ranges, which can be manually switched. The tractor is good both for agriculture and community sector.

Among the buffs of Massey Ferguson machinery is Alexey Selivanov, Head of UST-IZESSKOYE enterprise. Besides the MF 6713 tractor, he got interested in the Massey Ferguson WR 9800 self-propelled windrower, suitable for harvesting both cereals and forage crops with different headers.

‘The Massey Ferguson WR 9800 self-propelled windrowers are available with auger and disc headers’, says Anton Bliznyuk, ‘they are equipped with a cracker which ensures perfect crushing thanks to a special roller profile and hydraulic pressure application.’

Auger headers feature a dual cutterbar drive and a system feeding material into the cracker with two augers.

The disc header of the windrowers provides higher working speeds. Dual hydraulic motors drive the cutterbed from each end to provide even torque load across the entire width of the cutterbar, and a dedicated roller reduces material turbulence before it reaches the cracker.

‘We are going to grow maize’, says Alexey Selivanov, ‘so we have come to the trade show to look at maize stands and we thought we might as well find out more about the windrower from the AgroCentre team.’
