Challenger CH647 Combines
The construction solutions, already well established during the Challenger combines’ operation, have been integrated and introduced in the manufacture of the Challenger 647 combine.• The front beater of the feed elevator with feathering fingers along its entire length ensures even crop distribution across the threshing machine.
• The threshing cylinder with 8 rasp bars and extra loads (ballast bars) has a high inertial weight maintaining constant and smooth drum speed for more efficient threshing. The independent concave clearance adjustment makes the combine suitable for harvesting a wide range of crops in virtually any conditions.
• The rotary separator with an adjustable concave clearance improves the efficiency and provides better combine performance while operating in damp and high-yielding cereal crops due to the active straw agitation system, which minimizes grain losses at the straw walker steps. During operation in dry and low-yielding conditions, this feature can be disabled.
• The wire spacing on the concave differentiates between front and rear to provide high quality threshing.
• The 6-step straw walker with a stroke range equal to a 150 mm efficiently separates loose grain from the straw.
• The high-capacity sieves have a patented construction for efficient cleaning of the grain mass.
• The straw chopper & spreader with serrated knives and chopping length adjustment fulfills all the requirements.
• The grain tank (capacity of 8800 l, unloading height of 4.5 m, and discharge rate of 85 l/sec) ensures high performance and is capable of unloading into any vehicles.
• The AGCO SISU POWER six-cylinder turbocharged electronically controlled engine provides optimum working conditions. It meets the Tier III emission limit requirements.
• Hydrostatic transmission with a four-speed gearbox ensures the desired speed under different operating conditions.
