The new Terra-Gator 3244 combines the efficiency of the new Caterpillar engine and transmission and the chemical application precision of Ag-Chem. This machine was designed to replace the 3104 model and has improvee capacity due to the combination of the 364 hp engine and a new chassis which makes it possible to fit the Terra-Gator 3244 with an 18 m³ NMS Liquid manure Tank or 18 t Dry NMS Tebbe Box.

The state-of-the-art turbo-charged intercooled Caterpillar C11 engine with 11.3 L capacity delivers 364 hp at 2,100 RPM, with a peak up to 395 hp at 1,900 RPM. Combined with maximum torque of 1,752 Nm at 1,400 RPM, the engine can easily deliver the power required at peak loads.

Designed on the same basis as the Challenger МТ 765 tracked tractor’s transmission, this transmission has 16 forward and 3 reverse speeds.

Gears are changed with just a thumb up or down shift on the NMS Joystick, which is integrated now into the seat armrest. An automatic speed control system allows the operator to set up a high speed and then it gives the correct gear depending on the operating engine load and speed.

Oil-cooled multi-disc brakes now ensure rapid deceleration.

OPTIONS

- The tyre inflation system allows tyre pressure to be matched to surface conditions whilst driving. Used correctly, this can help to minimize tyre wear, prevent soil damage and save fuel.

- The terra-Gator Dog Walk system ensures that all wheels run over the ground in individual tracks. This spreads weight more evenly and protects the soil. Implements are always pulled in a straight line without the need for a steering rear linkage.

- The liquid NMS system can be fitted with a horizontal container arm, a centrifugal container arm or a vertical suction arm to load manure quickly and efficiently.

- Using the unique SuperLoad option, filling time can be reduced so as to enhance overall work rates by up to 20%. SuperLoad gets to work straightaway, employing a separate positive displacement pump to charge the system in less than 10 seconds.

- The Terra-Gator can be equipped with Auto-Guide™, a fully automatic steering system, to help improve output and precision and reduce operator fatigue at the same time.
