Training for machine operators

Systematic training and professional development of the staff are the key elements of successful work. A series of training sessions for machine operators and mid-level specialists was held on the premises of Oryol branch of AgroCentreLiski. The goal of the training was prevention of early failure in high-power machinery.

‘Farming enterprises make great demands on machine operators’, says Evgeniy Ankudinov, Head of Oryol branch of AgroCentreLiski, ‘as the performance of agricultural machinery depends on the quality of the operators’ work. Conversely, misuse of machinery may lead to early breakdown. So, we provide extensive training to bring the novices up to speed on our machinery range, and also to refresh the knowledge of those who have been operating the machinery for a long time. Among the trainees are the employees of Miratorg, who have taken a comprehensive course covering the entire range of equipment, including the Massey Ferguson tractors.’

The machine operators of KDV Group, OTRADA-AGROINVEST, Orlovskaya Niva companies and a number of small farms had both theoretical and hands-on training on the proper use of the MF machinery and sowing combinations properly.

‘The main purpose of these trainings is to minimise the human factor in the operation’, points out Evgeniy Tsedelenkov, Head of Engineering department of Oryol branch of AgroCentreLiski.

Each series of training sessions focused on a certain kind of equipment. For instance, operators of OTRADA-AGROINVEST learned how to operate the Massey Ferguson 8690 properly. Representatives of KDV Group practised operating not only tractors, but also trailed equipment and navigation systems. The training aimed at Miratorg employees focused on the JCB telehandlers.

In total, more than 200 specialists improved their skills and learned how to use modern machinery competently. All the attendees were presented with certificates at the end of the training sessions.
