Tame the tiger!

AgroCentre has held a demonstrational show of the Horsch Tiger 4MT cultivator on Novaya Zarya farm (Belgorod oblast). The locals were given a unique opportunity to tame the iron tiger.

Tiger 4MT is a combination of a heavy disc harrow and a deep tiller. A four-bar frame design 85 cm high allows maximum clearance, while a heavy two- row disc system (DiscSystem) with a diameter of 68 см thoroughly chops and mixes a good deal of harvest residue across the field.

‘This cultivator can work inany soil type: after corn for grain, sunflower, rape or catch crops’, says Denis Tarasenko, Sales Department Manager at AgroCentreLiski Belgorod branch office. ‘It works well on fallow fields, grasslands, and delivers reliable cutting of the thick-stemmed harvest residue. The working depths of the disc harrow and the tines are regulated separately. The machine is well suited for work in this region’s soil conditions and capable of performing the most challenging tasks.’

Two rows of tines with the TerraGrip hydraulic overload protection and MulchMix blades with the spacing of 45 cm ensure deep tillage of the cultivator. Furthermore, the machine is equipped with a single-row disc system in front of the packer aimed at leveling the cultivated area.

‘Many of our colleagues have given good reviews on the performance of the Horsch Tiger 4MT cultivator, so we wanted to gain first-hand experience of the machine’, says Gennady Chmirev, Head of Novaya Zarya farm. ‘The cultivator has done over 50 hectares of sunflower and corn fields, providing excellent residueincorporation and maintaining the depth of 25-35 cm. We have very positive feelings about thecultivator and are considering buying it for the year ahead.’
