Best machinery to Yaroslavl fields

An international agricultural exhibition has been held on the premises of Levtsovo air base. About 50 companies — exhibitors and over a thousand agricultural specialists from Yaroslavl, Vladimir, Vologda and Kostroma oblasts and Belarus took part in the event. AgroCentreZakharovo also presented its booth with the latest high-capacity machinery to the visitors.

The exhibition is one of the largest business and demonstrational platforms where the latest agricultural trends and technologies are displayed. This year, the field-based forum was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Dzhambulat Khatuov. Commenting the work of the forum, he emphasised, that ‘the investment Yaroslavl oblast is attracting these days bears good fruit’, says Dzhambulat Khatuov. ‘The region is cultivating wide areas of land not previously used for farming with the help of high-capacity agricultural machinery.’

Just as usual, AgroCentreZakharovo booth treated the farmers to superb machinery.

Traditionally, Massey Ferguson tractors enjoyed the undivided attention of the visitors. However, the booth featured other brands which triggered interest of the demanding public too.

‘We have successfully presented the Kverneland brand at the exhibition’, says Viktor Ovchinnikov, Head of AgroCentreZakharovo branch office in Yaroslavl. ‘In our booth we displayed a sprayer, a fertiliser spreader, a plough and a trailed mower of this brand.’

The farmers were particularly enthusiastic about the Kverneland Taarup 2432 trailed mower with the working width of 3m. The mower is convenient to use and closely follows the field terrain. The rotary blades are easily accessible for replacement.

For Sergey Simonov, Head of Aktivist family farm (Gavrilov-Yamsky district, Yaroslavl oblast), the partnership with Agrocentre became a veritable stroke of luck. A farm tractor failed in the midst of the sowing campaign, and it would have taken a month and a half for the necessary spare part to arrive. Everyone knows that downtime during sowing and harvesting is a great misfortune for a farmer.

‘We had no time to wait for so long, we needed a new tractor’, stresses Sergey Simonov. ‘It was not easy to find a suitable machine in the middle of the season, and AgroCentreZakharovo helped me out. The day after I called them, the Massey Ferguson 7618 tractor was brought to the farm. We are fully satisfied with the machine. Some time later, we purchased a Kverneland reversible plough. Coupled with a tractor, it allows us to respond to the agricultural challenges we face.’

The field-based format was developed specifically to address the most pressing issues like this. Many visitors came to the event, which took place just outside Yaroslavl, to network with business partners and just have a good time. The guests and the participants enjoyed an air show, a boxing fight, weaving and spinning workshops and took part part in the best farm machinery operator contest.
