Big wheels of farming in the spotlight

The AgroCentre Company took part for the first time in the second regional Volga Field Day 2011 in the Republic of Mari El.

On an area of more than five hectares, the chemical industry enterprises of the Republic of Mar El demonstrated their products for farming. Also on display were domestic and foreign-made agricultural machines. The AgroCentre Company came up with farming equipment from major world brands like Vaderstad, Challenger, JCB, and Kverneland. The farmers' desire to increase productivity and save time and money prompted keen interest in Vaderstad equipment. The hit of the event was the Rapid 600C sowing system and the TopDown 500 stubble cultivator.

"The Rapid 600C is a multi-purpose machine," says Dmitry Ivanov, AgroCentreZakharovo sales department head. "It is good both for traditional sowing and for sowing with minimal soil treatment or sowing directly into the stubble. In a single pass, the Rapid prepares the soil, loosens its surface and then smoothes it over. The TopDown stubble cultivator is designed for basic treatment of medium and difficult soils without upturning them. The machine crushes the stubble residue, cuts the weed roots, loosens the lower soil levels, and levels out and smoothes over the upper ones."

Volga region farmers can’t help liking the Vaderstad machines. Already next year they will use Rapid sowing machines on their fields.

As Dmitry Ivanov said, among self-propelled machines the demand was especially high for the Challenger MT 685C 370 hp wheel tractor. The advantage of the MT600C series of Challenger tractors is their TechStar CVT state-of-the-art gearbox, which features a Power Management adjusting capability. This advanced system dramatically reduces fuel consumption. The machines are fitted with Agco Sisu Power environment friendly engines that do not emit harmful exhausts.

Also, on display were the JCB 531-70 AGRI loader and Kverneland Taarup TA 4332 LT mounted mower-conditioner.

Aleksandr Yegoshin, the Mari El Republic's minister of agriculture, noted that the sale of farming equipment in the region must go on together with high quality servicing and timely delivery of spare parts to prevent downtime of the farming equipment.

The AgroCentre Company is opening a new servicing centre in Mari El. This will be an excellent support for farmers, both in servicing and for the purchase of agricultural machines and spare parts.

AgroCentre was awarded a certificate of appreciation for its active participation in the exhibition.
